Support for internal migration policy in Wakayama prefecture through Coporate Version of Hometown Tax Donation

In December 2021, Pacific Energy provided 11 prefectures with support where power plant projects have been implemented through the corporate version of hometown tax payment.

Wakayama Prefecture, with its declining birthrate, aging and shrinking population, has been promoting internal migration and settlement policies that sustain the lives of local residents and migrants. In 2021, online migration fairs were held to promote the attractiveness of Wakayama prefecture to migrants, and 169 people applied for one of the fairs over two days. In addition, the website “Wakayama LIFE” was launched, which offers suggestions for work, housing, and various types of support, and posts interviews with migrants in Wakayama Prefecture, as well as making videos to promote the attractiveness of Wakayama Prefecture. Pacifico Energy’s donations were also used for these community development projects and job hunting support projects for youths in the prefecture.

We are happy to support local revitalization through the donations.
